| My interests lie in the area of Professional Issues and Pain Management and to that end I have developed undergraduate modules in both of these areas. I have been very involved in the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and represented the organisation at National and International level. Nationally I developed a CPD portfolio for use by students and qualified members of the ISCP Internationally I have been Vice Chair of the European Region of the World Confederation for Physical Therapists. As Chairman of the Professional Issues working party of the European Region I led the development of European Core Standards of Physiotherapy Practice . I have supervised a PhD to completion and masters students on the MSc in Pain Management, Cardiff University. More recently I have been involved in validating a tool to map the recovery pathway of women after surgery for breast cancer. | |
